Ken Johnson, LPC    kjohnson@eastwestpsych.com

  1. Ken Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His undergraduate degree is in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Ken's inpatient psychiatric work with children, adolescents, and adults includes work with Minirth Meier Clinics and New Life Treatment Centers. He has been giving hope to hurting families for over 20 years.

  2. Ken counsels with couples, families, individuals, children and adolescents. He also conducts seminars and workshops in area churches, businesses and schools. Ken provides life coaching to individuals experiencing major life transitions. Ken integrates the spiritual life of a person into the counseling relationship and offers practical solutions to individuals, couples, and families struggling with major hurts and life transitions.

Joseph B. Mickler, M.S., LPC   jmickler@eastwestpsych.com

  1. Joseph B. Mickler, III (Trey) is a Professional Counselor Licensed by the State of Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, BA and his Masters of Science in counseling from Georgia State University as well as a diploma in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute.

  2. Trey has counseled with families, couples, individual adults and children the metro Atlanta area over the past nine years. He also provides anger management counseling on an individual and group basis. Additionally, Trey currently supervises other clinicians providing assessments for the Department of Family and Children Services.

Judy L. Holley, LAPC  jholley@eastwestpsych.com

  1. Judy Holley, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, earned her Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling from Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, GA.  She has completed clinical internships with Hope Counseling Centers and First Baptist Church Woodstock.  Her undergraduate studies were obtained at Shorter College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biblical Studies. 

  2. Judy has lived in the West Cobb area for the past fifteen years and loves helping those in her community.  Her special interests are in working with women’s issues such as anxiety, depression, infertility, and self-esteem.  She also works with groups, couples and enjoys family counseling.  Judy and Adam also provide “couple co-counseling”.  This unique type of counseling provides couples with a male and a female clinician within the counseling sessions.  Judy believes in integrating the client’s spiritual life with a family systems approach to assist the client in the counseling process.  She has been part of the corporate world, stay at home mom, wife of twenty-two years, and has held numerous positions within the church.  Judy’s life experiences are valuable to her counseling abilities.

  1. Libby Watson, M.A., earned her Master’s of Arts in Professional Counseling from Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, GA.  She has completed clinical internships with Hope Counseling Center, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, and Peachford Hospital.  Her undergraduate studies were obtained at Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology.  She then worked for 15 years in telecommunications network engineering and training.   

  2. Libby was born and grew up in Marietta, GA.  She has been married for 20 years to her high school sweetheart, and they have a teenage daughter.  She has always been interested in keeping marriages together in growing, vital relationships.  Her treatment plans include highly researched and effective methods for communication, conflict resolution, family of origin issues, and needs and goals assessment.    

  3. She is also interested in helping people through personal trauma's such as divorce, abuse, depression/anxiety, and substance abuse.  She is certified in a powerful treatment program called Trauma Resolution Therapy (TRT).  Many of her couples are going through this together and are experiencing healing.  She also works  with individuals and groups.   

  4. Trauma Resolution Therapy (TRT) is a five phase structured therapy that focuses on the root of the problem rather than the symptoms.  When the source of the problem is resolved, then the symptoms are automatically reduced and no longer necessary for survival.

David D. Arcement, LAPC  darcement@eastwestpsych.com

  1. David Arcement, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, earned a B.A. in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, a M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech.  He is nearing completion of a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech.  He has provided individual, family, and couples counseling at two community counseling centers, two college counseling centers, and an adult correctional facility.  David, a recent transplant to Cobb County, GA, was born and grew up in Baton Rouge, LA. 

  2. David currently counsels with couples, families, individual adults, and adolescents. He is also available for seminars and workshops in area churches, businesses, and schools.  His therapeutic interests include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, relationship concerns, career decision-making and development, and stress management.  He considers himself eclectic, incorporating aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, existential therapy, and hypnosis.  As a Christian, he believes in integrating the client’s spiritual life in the counseling process.
